Chong Siew Lion, 45 lost some money gambling at the Resorts World Sentosa casino. She wanted a quick way to recoup her losses so she shifted the wagers of 12 people at various tables to her betting area.
She committed the crimes on May 6, evening. She was discovered when one of the betters wanted to claim his winnings and found his wager missing, then reported to the dealer on duty. From the CCTV footage, Chong was arrested by the police. A total of $84 worth of chips were found on her arrest.
She was sentenced to six weeks' jail and faced 34 chargers involving $910 worth of casino chips. She pleaded guilty to all the chargers.
